Oleksandr Volodarsky is a famous contemporary Ukrainian playwright who works in various genres. In 2023, he wrote the tragicomedy “It’s Warm in Portugal Now,” a realistic play about the war, present-day Ukraine, and the life stories of the rural Shpak couple and their neighbor Galia. The play’s comic and sincere plot elicits both laughter and tears, touching the very depths of our hearts. The stage director is Iryna Klishchevska.
