The nativity scene is like a sacred “story from the casket,” where puppets of traveling theaters were once kept. However, theaters have not been touring for a long time, and Serhiy Zhadan’s poetry offers a unique take on the traditional nativity scene. Our story is more like Pandora’s box, creating a different kind of Christmas reality. This reality isn’t about asking, “What will we get from this box?” but rather, “What will we do with it?
