Before freedom
Marko Kropyvnytskyi
Director: Yevhen Lavrenchuk
The action takes place in the Azovstal shelter. There are three dimensions: the real, the subconscious, and the afterlife. The soul of a young man named Yurko moves through these universes as he searches for the most important things—freedom and his love, a young girl named Orysia. Yurko finds himself caught between these realities, and his subconscious becomes confused as the worlds intertwine. Orysia gives birth to his child, but she dies. The young man loses Orysia and regains consciousness, but his mental health is lost.
